How to Get a Q (Library) Card
Ready to Become a Member and Get Your Q Card?
Join us by simply filling out our brief Membership Application form. You can drop it off in person, mail it, or email it to memberships{at}quatrefoil.org! After joining, you will receive a stylish Q Card that you can use to enjoy all your membership benefits!
Please note: We ask that patrons return items on time and are responsible for any lost materials. Replacement library cards are $5. We also request a $2 donation for each borrowed DVD.
Membership
Who Can Join Quatrefoil Library?
Membership at Quatrefoil Library is open to all individuals and households who support the mission and goals of the library. Membership is inclusive and welcomes people of any age, gender identity, color, creed, national origin, physical ability, or sexual orientation.
Becoming a Member
Members can join Quatrefoil Library by completing the membership form and agreeing to the library’s Terms of Service. Membership entitles individuals to hold a library card, attend library meetings, including board meetings, serve in any elected or appointed role, and enjoy all member benefits.

As a member of Quatrefoil Library, you enjoy the following benefits:
- Checkout Materials: Access our historical collection and the latest in LGBTQ+ publishing, including fiction, non-fiction, young adult, and children’s books, as well as DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. Your Q Card provides access to all of these materials.
- Sign up with Libby App: Additionally, you can privately access the newest e-books and audiobooks in LGBTQ+ publishing from anywhere using your Q Card with the Libby app!
- Event Invitations: Receive invites to special events and programs throughout the year.
- Volunteer Opportunities: Get involved and support the library by joining our team of dedicated volunteers.
- Be Part of the Legacy: Contribute to the work started by Dick and David in 1986, helping to hold space and create community for LGBTQ+ voices.

Our History
Access LGBTQ+ Audiobooks & E-books with Your Q Card
October 1, 2022: Quatrefoil Library launches its first collection of e-books and audiobooks. With a Q Card, patrons can browse and borrow a diverse selection of new and classic LGBTQ+ titles with just a few clicks. Thanks to a generous board member and a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, all Q Digital items are available to borrow at no cost. Read more…
