Queer History Book Club

November 14, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm CST

A newly formed book club, presented by J-Pride at Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Minneapolis, will explore history and culture. Coordinator Isaac Ezra Jennings says the club will provide “an unintimidating and welcoming space for members of the LGBTQ+ community to come together and learn about queer history.”

Here are the books for the first three months:

  • November – Queer: A Graphic History by Meg John Barker and Julia Scheele
  • December – The Stonewall Reader (edited by New York Public Library)
  • January – Transgender Warriors by Leslie Feinberg

Contact person: Isaac Ezra Jennings, ijennings@jfcsmpls.org

The book club plans to meet in person on second Sundays of each month, but may shift to virtual depending on interest / needs. There is free parking in the lot behind the building, with entry off of 13th Ave. South. Please bring your mask and proof of vaccination.
