The Quartefoil Library is proud to present our first ever LGBTQ+ history book club! In this LGBTQ+ history book club “Understanding Our Roots” we will be learning about where are ancestors come from and we will be providing a very safe, welcoming, affirming, confidential, and awesome space for LGBTQ+ identified and or allied folk to come together and learn about the beauty and awe of our ancestor’s journey from topics such as “Ancient Greece and Homosexuality/Bisexuality, African Disaphora and Transgender Identity, The Latinx Bisexual Movement, The Asian Lesbian Movement, Ethiopia and the LGBTQ+ community, The Stonewall Riots of 1969, The AIDS Epidemic, The Days of Supervisor Harvey Milk, and much much more you can think of!
Our first meeting will be on Saturday January 6th, 2018 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. in the conference room right next to the front desk area where book sales usually take place. Please feel free to stop on by and bring your intellectually curious mind and thirst for LGBTQ+ history!
This book club will meet twice a month.
