Gender Reel 2017, the Twin Cities ONLY non-profit, grass roots film festival dedicated to enhancing the visibility of gender non-conforming and trans people, kicks off it’s 7th year festival with four amazing film screenings. In addition to screenings, we will also host two small art shows, panel discussions, Q&A’s and currated film programs, with an educational and community edge.
This year’s 2nd night of films include a series of captivating , informative and enlightening films about everything from trans people in jail, to coming out as gender queer, to dating. Films include: Mx. Enigma, Abreast, Spot, Dusk, That’s My Sister: Transgender Life in Jail and on the Street, Ballroom Boys, Miss Diamond, Headspace and I am Isak.
