The Engagement: A conversation about the fight for marriage equality with Sasha Issenberg

February 11, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm CST

Join us at Quatrefoil Library on Saturday, February 11th, at 3pm for a conversation with author, reporter, and professor Sasha Issenberg. Just in time for the 10-year anniversary of gay marriage’s legalization in Minnesota, Issenberg will discuss his book The Engagement: America’s Quarter-Century Struggle Over Same-Sex Marriage. Moderated by Telling Queer History’s Founder and Executive Director, Rebecca Jean (RJ) Lawrence, this conversation will dive deep into the ways in which smaller, local battles set the stage for the Obergefell decision in 2015.
A reception with light refreshments will follow the conversation.
Registration is free, but required: https://bit.ly/theengagementqlibrary
