Yaffa. Anyone is welcome to join whether you’ve read the whole book or just skimmed a few pages. We meet the second Wednesdays of every month! \n“Blood Orange” is a highly emotional\, important and timely poetry collection by Mx. Yaffa (They/She)\, a trans Muslim displaced Indigenous Palestinian. Their writings probe the yearning for home\, belonging\, mental health\, queerness\, transness\, and other dimensions of marginalization while nurturing dreams of utopia against the background of ongoing displacement and genocide of indigenous Palestinians. \nThis highly charged and cathartic body of work confronts the anguish and loss inflicted by genocide but also embraces a vision of a world free of it. The poems within “Blood Orange” were a means of working through and processing the grief caused by recent events and serve as an act of protest and defiance against settler colonialism as a whole. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Books

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of volunteering @ Family Tree Clinic! We will: \n\nassemble safer sex kits\nfold zines\nbe merry!\n\nFeel free to come for any/all of the evening. We will provide light refreshments & great vibes. This is the third event in the We Take Care of Us: Queer Resilience Event Series with Quatrefoil Library. \nACCESSIBILITY: Family Tree Clinic is located on the same block as the 2 and the 18 buses. There is a bike rack outside of our building. There is a parking lot right next to Family Tree Clinic with accessible parking spaces\, as well as parking across Nicollet in the church parking lot. We provide masks inside of Family Tree Clinic. Our doors remain locked\, and our Welcome Desk is staffed inside the door\, and lets folks in via an intercom system. We have many spaces\, both inside and out\, where folks can take their masks off and be distanced from others. \n  \nHotline: \nThe Minnesota Sexual Health Hotline provides reliable\, medically accurate\, and confidential information for free via phone\, text\, and webchat. All calls are patient positive\, LGBTQ+ competent\, and with a trained health educator. \nThe hotline services are sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Health\, and operated by Family Tree Clinic in Minneapolis.\n\nFTC: \nFamily Tree Clinic’s mission is to cultivate a healthy community through comprehensive sexual health care and education.

DESCRIPTION:Join Queer Threads members Kayla and Sara as they walk you through mending your own textiles! Participants are expected to bring textile items from home that they want to mend\, and Queer Threads can troubleshoot or give advice\, this is a coworking event and a space for people interested in textiles to work and chat in good company. Outside of the materials to mend\, a small amount of loops\, needles\, and thread will be available for people to use\, though you are welcome to bring your own from home.\nThis is the fourth and final event in the We Take Care of Us: Queer Resilience Event Series with Quatrefoil Library.
