DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 8\, 2025\, Monica K. Allen (she/her) will host a FREE\, Pandemic Poetry Open Mic\, centering poets who are Covid bereaved\, Long Covid survivors\, and/or from another most-impacted community.\n\nEvent Location: Quatrefoil Library Community Room (1220 E. Lake St.\, Minneapolis)\nEvent Time: 3:00-4:30pm CT\n\nPoets must register to guarantee a spot for the event.  Poets will receive an email confirming their participation by Wednesday\, November 5\, 2025 at 6pm CT. \n\nPoets will have a 4-minute time limit including self-introduction and 1-3 poems.  (The host will announce each poet’s name to keep the flow\, and will cut in at 4 minutes\, so please plan accordingly.)  Up to 18 poets will read at this event and any experience level is welcome.  If there are spaces still available on November 8th\, readers can signup at the event – first come\, first served.\n\n\nAccessibility offerings:\n-N95/KF94/KN95 Masks Required.\n-Masks will be available on-site for those who need one.\n-One Medify Air Purifier will be running.\n-Monica will speak slowly and loudly\, and ask the poets to do the same.\n\nTransportation and Parking:\n–Metro Transit Trip Planner\n-Parking lot in back of the building (north side)\, entrance off 13th Avenue.\n-Street Parking\n\nPlease do not attend if showing symptoms of illness or if exposed to Covid/Flu/RSV in the last 7 days.\n\nMonica K.
