We hope to see you there! \nThis is the first event in Quatrefoil Library’s Investing in Us Event Series. \n  \nKatie Breslin Bio: \nKatie Breslin has had many different careers – an organizer\, a library assistant\, an event planner and as a career coach at a liberal arts college. In each of her career choices\, one aspect has been constant: a deep appreciation for helping people tell their stories. Katie has guided students and professionals through career transitions\, job searches\, and graduate school applications\, coaching over 100 students at Earlham College and leading professional development initiatives. With experience in nonprofit management\, advocacy\, and communications—including coordinating national lobbying efforts and mentoring young professionals—Katie understands how to translate experiences into compelling career narratives. \nHolding a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity Washington University\, Katie blends practical career strategies with values-driven storytelling. Her workshop\, Tell Your Story Through Your Cover Letter\, will help job seekers craft authentic\, persuasive applications that reflect their skills and aspirations.

SUMMARY:Not My First Pandemic: Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Author and poet Michael Kiesow Moore will present a writing workshop at Quatrefoil on the topic of surviving the AIDS Crisis. The Minnesota State Arts Board funded Michael to develop a manuscript about his experiences during the AIDS crisis called “Not My First Pandemic.”  Michael is gathering LGBTQA stories about our experiences of living through both AIDS and the Covid pandemics. Participants will reflect on these events through guided writing prompts\, with the option to share their stories.
