DESCRIPTION:Join Zachary Mallory and the Quatrefoil Library in MPLS for National “I Am Jazz” book reading followed by a discussion. \nWho: Everyone! Please invite Parents\, Educators\, Youth Serving Professionals\, Allies– Everyone is welcome! \nWhere: Quatrefoil Library\, 1220 East Lake Street\nMinneapolis\, MN 55407 \nWhen: December 7th\, 2017 from 7-9pm. \nWhy? Now more than ever it is imperative we show our transgender and non-binary youth that they are seen\, accepted and loved. Trans youth who go without affirmation face increased risks of depression\, substance abuse and suicide attempts. Even if you don’t know any trans or non-binary youth in your community\, hosting a reading is an incredibly powerful way to show your support. \nAbout Zachary: Zachary Mallory is a LGBTQ+ advocate who focuses on Mental Health and Suicide Prevention especially amongst LGBTQ+ youth.
