DESCRIPTION:Women’s Author Event \nElmer Anderson Library\, University of Minnesota West Bank \nA free event co-presented by Quatrefoil Library and the Jean-Nickolaus Tretter Collection \nThe popular annual get-together of women writers and their fans returns Sunday\, March 26. Hear from novelists\, poets\, essayists and short story writers in literary fiction\, creative non-fiction\, sci-fi\, fantasy\, essay\, Young Adult and romance. \nThe free reading is followed by a chance to meet the authors\, get books signed and talk about all things literary. \n  \nThis year’s writers: \nCatherine Lundoff\, award-winning author of four short story collections and one novel\, edited a collection of lesbian ghost stories. A recent release by Lundoff is “Out of This World: Queer Speculative Fiction Stories.” www.catherinelundoff.com \n  \nMary Stein\, whose short fiction can be found in Caketrain\, The Brooklyn Rail and elsewhere\, will read from her novel-in-progress “Wonderland Babies.” Stein is an instructor and board member of the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop. www.marycstein.com \n  \nKirstin Cronn-Mills won a 2014 Stonewall Book Award from the American Library Association for her young-adult novel about a transgender teen\, “Beautiful Music for Ugly Children.” She has been a finalist for both a Minnesota Book Award and a Lambda Literary Award. \n  \nStephani Maari Booker writes prose and poetry. She will read from “Secret Insurrection\,” her science fiction novel-in-progress. Her writing has appeared in Jalada 02: Afrofuture(s)\, and Adrienne: A Poetry Journal of Queer Women. www.goodreads.com/athenapm \n  \nKatrina Monroe will read from her novel\, “All Darling Children\,” called a “fascinating reimagining” of the Peter Pan story by Publishers Weekly.
